Dog Boarding Frequently Asked Questions
Boarding Options for Dogs with Special Needs
Can My Dog Stay if They Don’t Get Along with Others?
Absolutely! We can still care for your dog, providing one-on-one attention from our trained staff, ensuring a calm and stress-free experience. As long as your dog is people-friendly, they will enjoy their stay with us.
Can My Dog Switch to Your Food Easily?
Our premium Blue Buffalo Sensitive stomach food is carefully chosen for its high quality and ease on dogs’ digestive systems. Most dogs adapt smoothly, but if you prefer, you can bring your dog’s food from home for a small additional fee. We also accommodate dogs with allergies or medical dietary needs.
Visiting and Communication During Your Dog’s Stay
Can I Visit My Dog While I’m Away?
To reduce stress and prevent confusion, we recommend against visiting your dog while they are boarding. Dogs can become upset when they see familiar faces and may think they’re going home, which can cause anxiety. Rest assured, you can call or email us for updates on your dog’s well-being.
Can I Call or Email for Updates on My Dog?
You are welcome to call or email us for updates. We also share photos and videos of our guests on social media, so be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see your dog’s adventures!
Bringing Items for Your Dog’s Stay
Can I Bring My Dog’s Bed or Toys?
We aim to maintain a clean, safe environment, so we do not allow fabric beds or toys. We provide Kuranda beds in our luxury rooms and comfort mats in compartments. You may bring rubber or plastic toys, but fabric toys are not allowed for safety reasons.
Can a Friend Drop Off or Pick Up My Dog?
Yes, a friend or family member can drop off or pick up your dog. Be sure to add their name to your account and provide instructions to ensure we care for your dog as directed. A valid ID will be required for pickup.
Boarding with Multiple Dogs
Can My Dogs Board Together?
Yes, dogs from the same family can share an accommodation. If necessary, we may upgrade to a larger room or separate them to ensure their safety and comfort. Additional dogs may receive a discount.
Vaccinations and Health Requirements
What if My Dog Doesn’t Have the Bordetella Shot?
For your dog’s health and safety, we require an up-to-date Bordetella vaccine. This helps ensure a sanitary environment and protects all guests.
Does My Dog Need a Bath?
Yes, any dog staying for 2 nights or more is required to have a bath before leaving to ensure they return home clean and fresh.
Special Considerations for Boarding
What Should I Bring Besides My Dog?
We provide a high-quality, all-natural dog food during your dog’s stay. If you prefer, you can bring food from home for a small fee. You can also bring approved toys (rubber or plastic) and treats, but fabric items are not permitted for safety reasons.
Can I Pick Up My Dog Early?
No problem! Just notify us in advance so we can prepare for an early pickup and ensure your dog’s comfort.
Cancellations and Changes to Reservations
How Much Notice Is Needed to Cancel or Change My Dog’s Reservation?
We request that you notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your reservation. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required when booking, and cancellations within 72 hours during peak season incur a $200 fee.
