What is dog boarding?
Dog boarding is the temporary housing of your dog at a facility while you're away. K9 Resorts offers a premium, cage-free environment where your dog will receive personalized care and enjoy a stress-free stay.
What is the difference between luxury boarding and traditional compartments?
Traditional boarding often involves smaller, more restrictive spaces with minimal interaction. At K9 Resorts, we provide spacious, luxury suites and executive rooms where dogs can enjoy more freedom and comfort. Our luxury accommodations feature Kuranda dog beds and all-day group play or individualized activities, so your dog receives constant attention and exercise.
Dog Care and Supervision
Is there someone overnight with the dogs?
While we do not have overnight staff exploring the facility, our state-of-the-art facility is monitored 24/7 with video surveillance, alarms, and fire systems for safety. Our trained staff is available from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM to provide care and attention.
What if my dog doesn’t get along with other dogs?
No problem! If your dog is people-friendly, they can still stay with us. We provide one-on-one care and activities to ensure they are comfortable and well-cared for.
Food and Personal Items
Can I bring my dog’s food or a special diet?
We recommend our premium, sensitive-stomach Blue Buffalo food, which is included in the boarding price. If your dog has special dietary needs or allergies, you can bring their food for a small additional fee.
Can I bring toys or a bed for my dog?
You can bring rubber or plastic toys, but fabric toys are not allowed for health and safety reasons. We also provide a comfortable Kuranda bed for every guest, so there’s no need to bring your dog’s bed. If you prefer, you can request an upgraded bed.
Dog Pickup and Communication
Can I visit my dog while I’m away?
We advise against visits during your dog’s stay, as it can cause confusion and stress. However, you can always contact us for updates via phone or email, and we often post photos and videos on social media to keep you connected.
Can a friend or family member pick up my dog?
Yes! Please ensure the person picking up your dog is added to your account as an authorized contact. They will need to provide ID when picking up your dog.
Health and Safety
What vaccinations does my dog need to board?
We require up-to-date vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza (preferred). This ensures all dogs stay safe and healthy while in our care.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered to board?
No, we do not require dogs to be altered for boarding. However, to participate in dog daycare, dogs must be spayed or neutered by 10 months old.
